How We Learn in Early Childhood Education
At our Berwick Early Learning Centre, we ignite your child’s natural curiosity! We provide spaces that allow children to explore, discover, and gain an understanding of the world around them through structured activities and open-ended play. We celebrate individuality, adapting our teaching approach to each child’s unique style and pace fostering a love for learning and exploration.
We believe in nurturing not only young minds but also our planet. That’s why sustainability is part of our program. Children in our care learn and actively participate in composting, recycling, and other eco-friendly practices. In doing so, we empower the next generation to be responsible stewards of their environment, developing a lifelong commitment to a greener future.
Where We Play
Our large outdoor areas create an inviting environment to foster both learning and play while enabling children to develop their social, fine motor, and gross motor skills. Our play areas are designed to cater to children’s interests, providing a variety of stimulating activities and materials to help them explore, create, and discover.
We’ve crafted natural, engaging, and well-equipped indoor and outdoor spaces that encourage your child to use their imagination and nurture their development.
From cosy spaces for toddlers to wide-open areas for little explorers, each room is designated for specific age groups and developmental stages. Whether climbing, building, creating, or learning, your little one will play, explore, and gather knowledge through hands-on experiences.
What we eat
All our meals and snacks are healthy, cooked and prepared daily in our fully equipped kitchen. We emphasise healthy eating practices by providing nutritious, freshly made meals prepared daily in our fully equipped kitchen. We display our four-week rotating menu seasonally in our Centre so families can see what food is offered throughout the day. All the meals we provide each day include:
- Breakfast
- Morning tea
- Lunch
- Afternoon tea
- A late snack.
We know what is essential to nourish each little one in our care. We provide formula for babies until they reach 12 months of age at no cost to you. Cassie
Centre Director
More About Me
Hi! My name is Cassie and I have been with KingKids for 10 years now. Growing up, I was always the older cousin that looked after the younger ones at family gatherings; I even used to play 'teachers' and run my own pretend schools & childcares based off my own experiences growing up. Working with KingKids brings me so much joy, especially creating bonds with the children, their families (and their furry friends whenever they come for a visit out the front of the centre). One thing I am proud of is living up to the Kingkids value of 'fun' and I try to make that a priority when working with my team; always laughing and celebrating the uniqueness of each person I get the pleasure of working with. I have two cats named Storm and Rain, they are my world and my go to karaoke song would be “Iris” - The Goo Goo Dolls
