“Hello😊 I’m Kyra and I am the Assistant Director at KingKids Hallam.

Having the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children, families, educators & the community is why I chose to become an early childhood educator. Working directly with children to be a part of providing the best quality care & the best start in life for the children is the most rewarding & inspiring career”

“I believe that each child is an individual and as an educator, I will value and develop each child’s strengths, interests, skills, abilities and knowledge to extend their learning. I believe that children learn through play. I am passionate about providing learning opportunities for children to explore, discover, create and imagine…. I believe in cultural diversity. I will celebrate the benefits of diversity with each individual child and enable them to understand and acknowledge differences.

Children need the assurance of being loved and cared for while they are enjoying an educational environment. Teaching children is my passion. Security and trust are very important components as well, of my relationship with each child.

Children should be given choices, responsibilities, and opportunities to initiate their own learning. In planning my program I strive for a developmentally appropriate, child-centred atmosphere where children have the opportunity to master new challenges through activities and topics that are meaningful to them, thus building their self-esteem as they develop and learn.”

Room Leader

“Hi! I’m Tammy,

Working as an Early Childhood Educator is one of the greatest joys in my life. I believe the early years of a child’s life, is when they grow and learn the most. Being apart of their development and learning is so exciting!

Every day is different, seeing their curiosity of the world around them as they develop their own independence and navigating their way through! Every day I get to see the world through their eyes, how amazing life can be!”

Languages: Sinhalese & English

“I chose to be an early childhood educator because I believe it is such a rewarding job.  As an educator, I am able to build bonds with children and guide them along their journey.  I like to be able to teach the children to develop independence, creativeness, to be kind and respectful young people.”

Room Leader

“Being apart of the early stages of children’s life’s is so rewarding because you get to assist and watch children achieve big milestones which is an amazing feeling and I feel so grateful to be apart of children’s early stages in life.

I strive on building strong relationships between educator, children and their peers and creating a warm and inviting environment which encourage children to imagine and explore.

I have a passion for fitness which I love to incorporate into the curriculum by setting up obstacle courses and lots of movement throughout the day.

Seeing the smile on each child’s face filled with happiness when they are in childcare exploring and reaching big and new things every day makes my job the best job and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.”

“Hi, my name is Aiden, I have worked in childcare for almost 4 years now and I can’t see myself working in any other industry. Teaching has always been a passion of mine and being able to do it a brand new centre is an experience I won’t ever soon forget. Being able to see children grow, develop and learn is such a reward, making every day such a joy to come to work.”

The strength, compassion and caring nature of the KingKids community only demonstrates that together we are stronger. COVID-19 has swept through Australia causing many businesses to close and in turn, people to lose their jobs. We are extremely empathetic to anyone in this situation and know that some of our families has been affected by this. We know this can be difficult for some people to cope with and urge anyone feeling concerned to seek professional advice. Sadly, the Children’s Services......
