Chinese New Year – 2019

It’s important to celebrate our cultural diversity and show mutual respect to everyone.

At KingKids Rowville we celebrated Chinese New Year with lots of different Activities.

In the Booeegigat-aluk room we enjoyed a cooking experience of dumplings.

Educator Yumin, helped the children fill the pastry and ‘pinch’ together the dough.

The children ate the yummy dumplings they made for afternoon tea.

In the Brennonooll room, the educators created a play space where children were given the opportunity to explore using chopsticks.

The children engaged in this activity by moving the noodles from one box
to another.

The children were really creative and we saw many different ways chopsticks could be held.
